About Dissection: There are at least five bands called Dissection: 1. A melodic black metal band from Sweden 2. A thrash metal band from Canada 3. A thrash metal band from Croatia 4. a death metal band from Lithuania 5. a death metal band from Poland 1) A melodic black metal band from Strömstad, Sweden. The band was formed in 1989 by Jon Nödtveidt (vocals / lead, rhythm & acoustic guitars). The other members were Ole Öhman (drums), Peter Palmdahl (bass), and John Zwetsloot (rhythm & classic acoustic guitars).
